In Key West, all the riding with The Kite House is done a couple of miles off shore in what is referred to as the ‘Flats’. Here, the water is no more than knee deep and, as the name
suggests, is totally flat for miles in each direction.
This also means awesome riding regardless of wind direction.
The Kite House has a 19ft boat that is used for transport
to and from the flats, as well as a rescue boat and a 30ft house boat
that is kept anchored, used as a daily "base".
The house boat is also great for non-kiting companions, who can come and hang out and enjoy the day relaxing and snorkeling!
