Prea is located in northeast Brazil, 3h 30 min from Fortaleza and 15 minutes from Jericoacoara. It is in a prime, world-reknowned kiteboarding destination, and sees 25 knot winds - up to 40 kts! - every day from July- December.
In addition to kiteboarding, in Prea you can sandboard on the amazing dunes, and enjoy yourself at night with typical Brazilian fare (seafood is the specialty) and parties!

Kiteboarding experience in Prea

With constant winds and miles and miles and kilometers and kilometers of open beach, a kite holiday that includes Prea is like none other! An international crowd of wind junkies gathers and parties here all season long!

Getting There and Around in Prea

The drive to Prea from Fortaleza takes about 4.5 hours, on a very nice, scenic, paved highway.
From Cumbuco it's about 4 hours.
There is regular bus service from Fortaleza, although the bus may take up to 6 or 7 hours to arrive. It is the least expensive option.
Private cars are available, as well.


For an amazing treat - arrive to Prea at the end of a downwind tour! Call it the pot of gold at the end of a beautiful rainbow!

We can organize any sort of custom tour, of any duration, although most prefer to take 2 or 3 nights on their way up the coast from Cumbuco. Whether a small do it yourself or a larger group, a customized downwinder up the coast is an absolute treat!
