Located on the western end of the city, between Camocim and Jericoacara, Tatajuba is one of the most beautiful tropical paradises in Brazilian Northeastern region. It is surrounded by white sand dunes, coconut trees and sprawling marshes. It boasts one of the highest dunes on the coastline of Ceara, called Morro Branco (White Cliff). The beach is part of a great environmental protection area (APA). Access is available by sand buggies or by 4-wheel-drive cars.
Tatajuba is an easy 10k north from Jericoacoara.
